Christians by Maya Angelou

This is Beautiful, enjoy.
“A woman’s heart should be so hidden in Christ
that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.”
When I say… “I am a Christian” I’m not shouting “I’m clean livin’”
I’m whispering “I was lost, Now I’m found and forgiven.”
When I say… “I am a Christian” I don’t speak of this with pride.
I’m confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say… “I am a Christian” I’m not trying to be strong.
I’m professing that I’m weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say… “I am a Christian” I’m not bragging of success.
I’m admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say… “I am a Christian” I’m not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say… “I am a Christian” I still feel the sting of pain..
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say… “I am a Christian” I’m not holier than thou,
I’m just a simple sinner Who received God’s good grace, somehow!
Pretty is as Pretty does… but beautiful is just plain beautiful!
TODAY IS BEAUTIFUL SISTERS DAY
TAG; YOU’RE IT!
I’m supposed to send this to BEAUTIFUL WOMEN, and you are one of them!!!
If you share this with other women,
you will boost another woman’s self esteem,
and she will know that you care about her.
(Send to the men you care about too!)

Life Is a Gift

Today before you say an unkind word…Think of someone who can’t speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food…Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife…Think of someone who’s crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today before you complain about life…Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children…Think of someone who desires children, but they’re barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn’t clean or sweep…Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive…Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job…Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another…Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER.

AND WHEN DEPRESSING THOUGHTS SEEM TO GET YOU DOWN…PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE AND THANK GOD YOU’RE ALIVE AND STILL AROUND.
