Slew Pledge of Allegiance, since the Pledge of Allegiance and The Lord’ Prayer are not allowed in most public schools anymore and because thi /vord “God” is mentioned…. A kid in Arizona wrote the following:

Now I sit me down in school where praying is against the rule.
For this great nation under God finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites, it violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green, that’s no offense; it’s a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate, God’s name is prohibited by the state.

We’re allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, and pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks. They’ve outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the ‘unwed daddy,’ our Senior King.It’s “inappropriate” to teach right from wrong. We’re taught that such “judgments” do not belong. We can get our condoms and birth controls, study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed. No word of God must reach this crowd. It’s scary here I must confess, When chaos reigns the school’s a mess.So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Should I be shot; My soul please take!

Like many of you, emails are forwarded to me all the time. Some are nonsense. Some contain useful information. I don’t know if this is fact or fiction, but a person can never be too careful. The author is unknown:

When you hit the lock  button on your car upon exiting, it does not send the security code, but if you walk away and use the door lock on your key chain- it sends the code through the airwaves where it can be  stolen. Something totally  new to us…and real.

This following story came from one of my Christian writer’s group. One writer said it was fiction, but I’m not so sure. After all, this is Jesus’ character, since this is a story the world wouldn’t want us to believe. . Remember, many say Jesus didn’t rise from the dead, others say the Holocust didn’t happen, still those I know say there are no miracles. Yet, whose report will I believe? How about Jesus…..

FATHER MURDERS WIFE, BURIES CHILDREN ALIVE

A Muslim man in Egypt killed his wife because she was reading the Bible and then buried her with their infant baby and an 8-year old daughter. The girls were buried alive! He then reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids.

Fifteen ays later, another family member died.. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand - ALIVE! The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed. The older girl was asked how she had survived and she says, “A man wearing shiny white clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister.”

She was interviewed on Egyptian national TV, by a veiled Muslim woman news anchor. She said on public TV, ‘This was none other than Jesus, because nobody else does things like this!’ Muslims believe Isa(Jesus) would do this, but the wounds mean He really was crucified, and it’s clear also that He is alive!
But, it’s also clear that the child could not make up a story like this, and there is no way these children could have survived without a true miracle…

Muslim leaders are going to have a hard time to figure out what to do with this, and the popularity of the Passion movie doesn’t help! With Egypt at the center of the media and education in the Middle East , you can be sure this story will spread. Chri st is still turning the world upside down!

I got flowers today.
Today was a very special day.
It was the day of my funeral.
Last night, he finally killed me.
He beat me to death.
If only I had gathered enough courage
and strength to leave him,
I would not have gotten flowers…today

A little boy was attending his first wedding.
After the service, his cousin asked him, “How many women can a man marry?”
“Sixteen,” the boy responded.  His cousin was amazed that he had an! Answer so quickly by
“How do you know that?”
“Easy,” the little boy said.
“All you have to do is add it up, like the Bishop said,
4 better, 4 worse, 4 richer, 4 poorer.”

  A 6-year-old was overheard reciting the Lord’s Prayer at a church service, “And forgive us our trash passes, as we forgive those who passed trash against us.”

A boy was watching his father, a pastor, write a sermon.
“How do you know what to say?” he asked.
“Why, God tells
me.”
“Oh, then why do you keep crossing things out?”

The Sunday School Teacher asks, “Now, Johnny, tell me frankly do you say prayers before eating?”
“No sir,” little Johnny replies, I don’t have to.
My mom is a good cook.”

  A college drama group presented a play in which one character would stand on a trap door and announce, “I descend into hell!” A stagehand below would then pull a rope, the trapdoor would spring, and the actor would drop from view.
The play was well received. When the actor playing the part became ill, another actor who was quite overweight took his place.  When the new actor announced, “I descend into hell!” the stagehand pulled the rope, and the actor began his plunge, but became hopelessly stuck.  No amount of tugging on the rope could make him descend.
One student in the balcony jumped up and yelled:
“Hallelujah! Hell is full!”

 A little girl was sitting on her grandfather’s lap as he read her a bedtime story. From time to time, she would take her eyes off the book and reach up to touch his wrinkled cheek.  She was alternately stroking her own cheek, then his again.
Finally she spoke up, “Grandpa, did God make you?”
“Yes, sweetheart,” he answered, “God made me a long time ago.”
“Oh,” she paused, “grandpa, did God make me too?”
“Yes, indeed, honey,” he said, “God made you just a little while ago.”
Feeling their respective faces again, she observed, “God’s getting better at it, isn’t he?”

In Illusions, Wanda diagnosed a cancer in society and wrote the prescription for deliverance, inspired by God of course. She didn’t focus on condemnation, but self-reflection to get the job done. Her writing style was precise and to the point. She didn’t belabor the story with quoting the scriptures, but showing the love of Christ.
Don’t let the title “pastor” before Bryce Hightower keep you from picking up this book. Bryce’s demon is an equal opportunity, unisex spirit destroyer.
Without giving too much away in Illusions, God has a way of bringing us spiritual growth when we minister to others battling the same problems.
